The New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC), a trusted technology advisor to state and local government organizations, is seeking qualified candidates for immediate full-time employment.  NYSTEC currently has offices in Rome, Albany and NYC.  NYSTEC is a private, not-for-profit engineering and consulting firm that provides technical assistance and advice to clients interested in upgrading or acquiring new Information Technology and Communications systems.

NYSTEC’s services include Technology Acquisition and Wireless Communications Support, Information Security and Network Planning and Design.  NYSTEC offers our clients support in:

- Project Planning

- Requirements Definition

- Solicitation, Implementation and Transition Management

- Architecture Design and Review

- Policy Review and Development

- Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Assessments

- Consultation in Telecom and Networking

- Network Analysis, Planning and Design


At this time, NYSTEC has openings for individuals possessing a variety of skills.  Areas of particular interest are:

- Knowledge and experience in the NYS procurement process

- Systems engineering in the specification, procurement, development, implementation and test of large scale systems.  Experience with requirements managements tools such as DOORS is a plus

- Extensive knowledge of Information Security

- Experience in writing policies and procedures

- Broad knowledge of information technology platforms, including mainframe and server environments

- Knowledge of voice and data networks

- Excellent verbal and written skills

- Management experience

- Ability to manage projects within and among organizations

- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP and Cisco are of strong interest
