Final Rule For EHR Meaningful Use Announced

On July 13, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the final rule on requirements for meaningful use that providers must achieve in order to receive incentive payments for electronic health records (EHRs) under the HITECH Act.  The final rule is available in the Federal Register.

Cyber Security Presentations

NYSTEC presentations delivered at the 2010 NYS Cyber Security Conference on June 16 can be viewed at the conference Web site.  NYSTEC consultants teamed with NYS specialists on two sessions, “Electronic Health Records: An Overview of Privacy and Security Challenges and Solutions” and a “Multi-Agency Collaborative Approach to Data Classification.”
